Title: The Mathematics of Quantum Compilation Optimization
Date: Wednesday, 11 June 2025 16:45-17:45
Place: IMI Auditorium(W1-D-413) and Live streaming with Zoom
Speaker: Seiseki Akibue (NTT Communication Science Laboratories)
Attendance: 32(Students: 13; Staff: 16;Others:3)
In this colloquium, the speaker gave a lecture about the optimization of compilers that convert quantum algorithms or protocols into instructions that can be executed on a quantum computer. Since the compiler affects the overall performance, its optimization is an important issue. In this talk, the speaker explained that the optimization of compiling to basic gate sequences and compiling for distributed architectures that are related to mathematical problems such as the sum of four squares and the irreducible decomposition of algebraic sets.
