Mathematics for the Primary Industries and the Environment

Massey University, North Shore, Auckland, New Zealand


* Dates: 18 November (Monday) - 21 November (Thursday) (4 days)
- start 0930, finish 4:30 each day
17/11 Sunday afternoon/evening from 4 pm: 
IMI-IAB, APCMfI (Council and AGM), Editorial Board meetings 18/11 Late Monday afternoon: welcome party 20/11 Wednesday afternoon: excursion
(there will be a fee for those who participate in this)

(including geothermal)
* environmental effects/consequences/problems For example:
- Water Quality
- Air pollution
- Plastics pollution
- Pest eradication [NZ has an aim to be predator-free by 2050]
- Climate change
- Consequences of increased intensive farming practices 
on the environment - Energy generation and use (of any kind)


* anything related to these, including biological, sociological, 
economics, quantitative methods, etc


FMfI2019 will include:
* Invited talks
* Emerging Researcher talks
* Student posters
* Industry presentations + mix-and-mingle with reps 
* Excursion + banquet NZ-style 
* Meetings of APCMfI + IMI-IAB + Journal Editorial Boards
Accommodation:
* On-campus accommodation in the student village
