■Title: Activities for mathematicians to make use of mathematics in industry
〜What mathematics is expected in industry? 〜
■Abstract:
I am a mathematician and also run Math. Research Institute Calc for Industry (commonly known as "Calc"). In this talk, I will discuss what role Calc (mathematics) is expected to play in industry, and in the process, what challenges we are facing and what results we are achieving. I feel that there is still a big gap between the mathematics of industry and the mathematics of mathematicians. I believe that understanding this gap will open up the possibility of collaboration between mathematics and industry. We will share our vision of how industry and mathematics can collaborate and grow together. I hope this will be a forum where we can discuss our vision for the future.
