Abstract:
1960 A mathematical programming system is commercialized by the age and it has resulted in it at the present. I am 1974. FUJITSU, LTD. was joined for the year and it has been engaged in research and development of OR field centering on a mathematical programming system, and customer support. Although having been used in the mainframe computer was common those days of 1980 as for LP optimization, a mainframe comes to be introduced into its company and the case which became the leading role of the benchmark also has LP optimization. In the LP optimization of those days, the CPU usage rate of the host computer might reach more than 90 %. In the case of 1000 rows LP optimization problem, it took several hours, and there is a feeling of living in a quite different age with now. In an announcement on the day, while looking back upon the history of evolution of a mathematical programming system and I introduce the outline of the next-generation mathematical programming system : LocalSolver.
