In this colloquium, the speaker discoursed the development of “CI (Cooperative Intelligence)”, an artificial intelligence that can understand the humans’ behaviors and surrounding circumstances, and act in cooperation with people. In order to prevent accidents caused by noise and unexpected contingencies (extrapolation), the speaker explained the system that avoids danger by introducing verifiable mathematical models for each function, such as object recognition, positional information, and prediction of the actions of other vehicles and people.
The speaker also introduced the micromobility that enables free movement of people and objects, along with its performance, the CI system in which it is incorporated, and examples of its use. This talk provided the usefulness of various mathematical methods in realizing the safe automotive society, and we learned the importance of deeper cooperation between the automotive industry and mathematicians for further development.
